A little TLC goes a long way. But will it last?
That’s the concern of area education leaders. Iowa and local officials are applauding Iowa’s new Teacher Leadership and Compensation system, but it is also costs the state’s taxpayers over $157 million per year to fund.
“We’re really excited about the teacher leadership plan – it has been a godsend,” Storm Lake Superintendent Carl Turner told the Pilot-Tribune.
