Iowa got some good news yesterday and so did Governor Kim Reynolds. US News and World Report ranked Iowa the #1 state in the country.

Governor Kim Reynolds was on CBS News This Morning talking about the news, and her office released a statement this morning:
“Our Best States ranking is a humbling tribute to our people who have proven time and again that in Iowa, if you’re willing to work hard, you can accomplish anything. My top priority as governor is to build on our current success by bringing new resources and opportunities to every corner of our state. Every Iowan contributes to the success of their community and our state, and we celebrate this honor knowing that our work to build a better Iowa will never be finished.”
It is just getting worse for Democrats.
After months of desperate tweets and press releases, Iowa Democrats woke up to the news utterly speechless. No statements from the Iowa Democratic Party, nor it’s candidates for Governor.
Not only was Iowa the #1 state in the nation, but we also scored incredibly high on some of the many things Democrats running to be the next Governor complain about.
On Health Care, Iowa ranked 3rd, up two spots from 2017. On education, Iowa ranked 5th while also boasting the #1 graduation rate in the country.
On the economy, Iowa ranked 10th for labor force participation rate, and 6th in the nation for low unemployment and strong GDP growth.
It’s not just the news from US News and World Report that should alarm those hoping to unseat Governor Reynolds. Despite an avalanche of negative advertising, Governor Reynolds remains popular, leads her opponents in the latest polling, and a growing number of Iowans see the state as on the right track.
Despite all of this, you have to wonder: when will Iowa Democrats drop the act?
