The DNC is targeting 32 House Republicans in districts which President Barack Obama carried in 2008 with a “multi-media campaign” of press releases, Op-Eds and letters to the editor, emails and local events challenging the incumbents. Tom Latham – Iowa 4 is one of the targets by the Obama slash and burn Chicago political machine.
Here is what the DNC propaganda machine had to say.
“You would think a member of Congress should think twice about voting against health insurance reform that their families and small businesses so desperately need and want,” the DNC’s Hari Sevugan says. “But you have to think to vote against health insurance reform in a congressional district won by President Obama just a year ago could be a political death knell at a time when Americans are clamoring for solutions to vexing issues like health care.”
I find Sevugan’s statement to be interesting. It seems to me that her reasoning is that, since Obama won Iowa’s 4th District, then Congressman Latham should vote for whatever President Obama wants.
There’s just one problem with the math. It’s true that Obama won Iowa’s 4th CD by 7 points, but Latham won reelection by 21 points.
Based on the Obama reasoning then, shouldn’t President Obama then be the one listening to Congressman Latham because Latham won the district by a larger margin than he did? I mean, doesn’t Latham’s 21 point victory authenticate the stand that Obama should listen to the person who won the district by more than he did – because more people supported Latham’s vision of policy than Obama’s?
President Obama is so arrogant to think that he rules every district that he won.
Joy Corning is an Idiot
What happens to old people? I mean, it’s like you know grandma loves you, but why does she sometimes say such nasty things. Anyway, Joy says she’s a supporter of Branstad 5.0. She also said she doesn’t want Republican candidates to focus on polarizing social issues. But yet she goes out and drops a gay marriage robo call on Branstad’s ass.
The result is the debate turning to gay marriage and not jobs and the economy.
I don’t think this was an accident. Iowa Democrats want to change the subject. They don’t want to talk about the state budget, the state’s high unemployment rate, or the massive amount of debt accumulated under Culver’s administration. Good job out of the Dems. Their little plan to use a zany old woman to create a civil war within the Republican Party while also damaging the candidate who some think is the more formidable is working like a charm.
Veteran’s Day Thought
As you all probably noticed I took yesterday off in honor of Veteran’s Day.
The first Veterans of our country fought for the independence of our country beginning in 1775. What makes America unique is that all of the men and women who serve in our military do so for the same cause that those brave patriots fought for in the American Revolution – Freedom.
It’s hard to believe we now have a president who makes it a point to apologize for Americas efforts around the globe in securing and spreading freedom when traveling outside our country. Not only does the quest of freedom come at a cost to the American taxpayer, but it unfortunately costs us our most precious commodity, our brave men and women who wear the uniform.
Sadly, it now seems as if the terrorist who these brave men and women battle against have now even infiltrated our armed forces. The recent attack at Fort Hood serves as a reminder of the resolve of our enemy. Freedom’s call comes at a steep price, but it is a price worth fighting fo

If Obama’s team was really smart they would ignore Latham’s district and try to secretly assist a more moderate Republican to challenge Steve King. Lathmam is a good congressman. I just don’t see a Democrat coming close to him.
Nimitz,
Are you completely unaware that Steve King annihilates everyone who runs against him?
Rush will be talking about Steve again about 3:30.
LOL, Nimintz
