Shawn Johnson Rocks Wrigley Field

cubbieshawnLast night Shawn Johnson threw out the first pitch and sang the 7th inning stretch for the Chicago Cubs. The central division leading Cubs defeated the Houston Astros 5 to 1 on a walk off grand slam from Alfonso Soriano in the bottom of the 13th inning.

I’ll be in the bleachers on Thursday afternoon to hopefully see the Cubbies sweep the Astros and add to their lead in the Central Division.

Go Cubbies!

Craig, I agree with you…”Go Cubbies”. However, you do realize that Shawn Johnson is a liberal Democrat, correct?

Madison, don’t you think that is a bit harsh considering she isn’t even old enough to register to vote yet! However, IIRC they made a pretty big to do about her attending the dem convention in Denver last summer, so the fact that she will have those tendencies is a pretty safe bet.

timmy, so liberals can’t see the 7th inning stretch at wrigley?? this article wasn’t political, why are you trying to inject politics into a cubs and shawn johnson story??? finally, go cubs, they can’t sweep but let’s hope they take 3 out of 4.

Silence, it was Madison that injected politics into this. In fact I believe my statement was that what he said was a bit over the top. I merely pointed out what is a matter of public record, her being featured at the Democrat convention and the natural assumption that she probably leans toward that philosophy. I have no problem with either her singing at Wrigley or attending the Dem convention, it matters not a whit to me. Actually, we should all admire what she has accomplished at a young age!

Well, given that we are posting at theiowarepublican.com, “news for Republicans, by Republicans”, it would seem that the very nature of this site makes it a political issue. And yes, she is a liberal. She actually said the Pledge of Allegiance at the Democrap National Convention. Watch here if you like:
