Jackie Norris Fired By Michelle Obama

jackienoI know, Jackie didn’t get fired, she just woke up yesterday and wanted to give up her position as Chief of Staff for First Lady Michelle Obama to go to work for the Corporation for National and Community Service.

Yeah, that’s like me wanting to wake up and decide blog on The Real Sporer. No offense Uncle Ted, just making a point and you know how a role. Norris told the Des Moines Register that the more was not a demotion, but instead an opportunity to do the type of work she is passionate about. Bull.

It will be interesting to see if the Iowa media, who sent reporters to D.C. to profile all the Iowans working in the Obama administration will actually do some reporting to see what the heck happened between the First Lady and Jackie Norris. Norris only held on to her Chief of Staff gig for five months. Michelle Obama replaced Norris with Susan Sher, someone the First Lady has known for a long time.

It’s obvious that while Michelle Obama and Norris were minivan gal pals during the Iowa caucuses, they were never able to develop a professional relationship, or Mrs. Obama didn’t think Norris was up for the job. Why else would you make such a move so quickly?

I guess it’s possible that Norris was the one who urged Michelle to wear those $800 ugly ass shoes to a homeless shelter, and encourage the First Couple to go out on date nights that cost the taxpayers $250k a pop, while everyone else is struggling to make ends meet.

We will probably never know what really lead to Jackie’s departure after only five months. The only way we will really know what happened is if the news media decides to ask some tough questions, or maybe she will want to cash out and write a book.

Contrary to the public face Norris and the administration are putting forward, it seems like the move was a surprise. Here is an interesting interview that Norris just did with the National Journal. Seems odd that just three weeks ago she was saying, “The opportunity to work for the First Lady and to really think through how we could do great things together was really very powerful, especially the impact we could have on young people, which is my passion, was something that was really important to me personally.”

Now she is telling the Register, “This is just a great opportunity for me to really work full-time on the thing that I’m most passionate about,” when referring to her new position.

Yeah, I’d rather move my family to D.C. to work in an office building instead of the White House.

    HOLY S_ _ T!

Krustus, are you this hard up to write something that you lower KK to the level of PEOPLE or some other common check-out line rag?

    Demo,

Cmon wake up and smell the coffee here.. Jackie Norris was fired, pure and simple for Michelle’s gal pal from Chicago. Norris might be putting on the good face about this..but this is a hell of a way for Michelle Obama to thank the person who helped set her husband on the path to the Presidency.

The question here what will Jackie Norris eventually say about the Obamas years down the road. If there is one axiom that is true in politics..is that what comes around…goes around..

Its usually not wise to stab the person who helped put you where you are in the back..and not expect to get it back in spades later.

There isn’t a publisher in DC or New York that wouldn’t jump at the chance for a tell-all book from a former insider on the real story of life in the Obama White House.

How can she not be up to the job? How hard is it to schedule MO’s gym workouts, hairstyle treatments and photo ops? I feel bad for Jackie, being cast aside for MO’s gal pal, it is her right, but seems like a crappy thing to do.

Well of course its a crappy thing to do… Jackie Norris isn’t fooling anyone with her little spiel about how she’s happy to do the thing she’s “most passionate” about. If you had a job in the White House…after busting your tail for months to help get your candidate elected.. making all sorts of personal and family sacrifices…to get pushed out this way is probably the most insulting and embarrassing thing you could have happen.

Anyone else in that position would be have to be completely livid with the situation…and like I said previously…not a wise idea to piss off the people who helped to get you to where you are in the first place.

You trogs are so dense that you don’t get the point? Point being that this is a “who-cares”. Hardly dignifies “news for Republicans, by Republicans”

Of course it _does_ fit well with Krustie’s level of recent “journalism”.

Who cares?? I’m sure the Norris family cares considering the people whom they put it on the line for in Iowa just stabbed them in the back.

Think about it Demo.. Lets say you had worked tirelessly for a candidate…said candidate gets elected and to thank you for your hard work, hires you on in a high profile position on staff.

Then less than 5 months in the job..you get fired from the staff for a family friend who did little to nothing to get the candidate elected…and you get shuffled off to a mid-level bureaucratic job, out of sight, out of mind…

How do you think you’d feel? Wouldn’t you feel that all the work you did was all for naught? All the nights you spent away from friends and family–all the sacrifices made…and this is how you get thanked?

Very compassionate there Hawk, now are you able to channel that compassion and empathy into the direction of all the State employees who DVFO wants summarily fired just because there are “too many” of them? Oh, don’t forget the union workers being let go all over the country right now.

Now let’s take a different look at Krustosis’ article and ask just exactly _WHAT_ message is he wanting to subliminally put into our thinking processes by posting this as Republican News?

Personally, IN THE CONTEXT OF REPUBLICAN NEWS, I still think it’s a who-cares.
