Is this common ground? Unity? I think we’ve found it!!!

Boing-boing-boing-boing! The sound of wackos leap-frogging over each other around the room bouncing off the walls.

Now Panetta is even piling on. He has to defend his CIA from this lying “Speaker” calling the CIA liars.

I guess this is getting good but this witch has brought this on herself. The interesting part is the fact that it appears it is the Democrats who are throwing her overboard.

We know for sure that if Ms Speaker were a Republican she’d be calling the moving van. Let’s see how much longer this takes.

Sorry Con Dem, but the Speaker is in the wrong here. You can’t tell me with a straight face that if she was a Republican that the dems would be calling for her head on a platter.

Here’s an interesting take from some columnist or other. His point is that the rethugs may get more than really wanted here.
    ———-

Arguing that Pelosi and other Democrats were somehow complicit in “enhanced interrogation” policies gives the impression that those making the charges think that the policy was wrong, and that the wrongdoers must now be clearly indentified. But most Republicans don’t seem to agree with either point. Careful what you ask for.

Democratic leaders, starting with President Barack Obama, had seemed content to let sleeping dogs lie and go easy with any Capitol Hill probes. But the GOP counter-offensive claiming that Pelosi knew about torture practices opens the door to a full investigation to settle the matter — if for no other reason, so that the Speaker can defend herself.

Republicans cannot legitimately complain about an investigation if they are going to hurl accusations that must be examined.

    Bring it on.

I wouldn’t want to be calling out the CIA, If you are in public life as an elected official you ought to know that between them and the FBI they got access to every detail of your life. By the same token If there was any wrong doing by Republicans, then let the chips fall where they may.

CD. You cannot be serious. Ms Speaker brought this on herself. She is the one that will be put under oath if there are congressional hearing into this.

This woman is a liar–plain and simple. She has dug a hole for herself and she has no one to blame but herself. The interesting part is the fact that it is Democrats who are piling on her. Hoyer has refused to stand behind her and he is her lieutenant.

Can’t you simply accept the fact that Pelosi is a typical lying Democrat? They could never have gotten this far without the protection of a very corrupt press.

DVFO saiz: “Can’t you simply accept the fact that Pelosi is a typical lying Democrat?”

OK DV, you pay real good attention here, I’m gonna say this slowly so you don’t get overloaded.

Nancy Pelosi along with every other politician elected in every district in the coountry _INCLUDING_ Iowa’s 5th, are filthy liars.
The only difference between them is in which group (ie: party hacks, that’s us, you and all of us) sees which ones as lesser problems than the others.

That said, I can’t imagine that Pelosi will go down without a screaming fight that will involve an investigation which could go any direction on its own. Those things tend to get lives of their own.

Gimminy, wouldn’t it be something if some sharp lawyer get’s cross examining Darth Vader on national television and the old fool has the final big chest-grabber of all chest-grabbers right there in front of all of us!

Cons. Dem. “Nancy Pelosi along with every other politician elected in every district in the coountry _INCLUDING_ Iowa’s 5th, are filthy liars.”

Pretty big accusation there. What has Steve King lied about?

DV, are the connections between your eyes and your brain short circuited? I conceded she’s a liar, how in heck could you not see that?

I continue to say tho that you may not be happy because of who she takes down with her. I can’t imagine the rethuglicans _really_ want to open that all up to a public investigation.

OTOH, some of my hard core wacko lefty friends are salivating to get cheney et-al standing in the public glare with their right hands on Bibles.

  • Deace voted for Obama wrote on 15 May, 2009, 14:33

Are you defending the Democrats who love terrorists more than their country? That’s really smart. Do you not understand these radical Muzzies would just as soon kill you as me?

Do you remember what happend on 9/11/01? Most Democrats don’t care about what these radicals do to their country. They only care about power.

I’d rather tilt windmills with Peggy, at least when she deflects the subject she changes it to sex talk.

  • Constitution Daily wrote on 15 May, 2009, 15:01

Cons. Dem. Ok – back to the subject. I’ll ask again, what specifically has Steve King lied about?

  • Deace voted for Obama wrote on 15 May, 2009, 15:08

CD: These Democrats on this website are precisely why we need to be scared to death of this bunch running loose in DC.

They don’t have a clue when it comes to national security and they act like they don’t care. I guess it’s a matter of ignorance is bliss. They make great ostriches.
