The western third of the state might as well be in South Dakota or Nebraska. In fact, I would vote for secession! Please correct me if I am wrong, but nobody from western Iowa has won statewide office since the days of Senator Jack Miller (Sioux City) and Governor/Senator Harold Hughes (Ida Rove). That’s over 30 years!

Party Pooper, I know you want the Christians to get out of the GOP, but you’ll lose every time. We need to unite. I’m all for attacking the Dems. It is ironic that you said that I’m not supposed to attack republicans and focus on the Dems, but your comment attacked your fellow republicans which you called “divisive morons.” That language doesn’t help. The same is going on in the Dem. party. It’s the Liberals vs. the Moderate Dems. The reality is–the only way we’ll win is if we nominate a socially and fiscally conservative candidates and stick to our promises while we are in office. Peace.
