Don’t Culver and Obama remind you of Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder in this scene in See No Evil, Hear No Evil? It sure seems like what Obama does the Big Lug does…just at a smaller scale. Too bad what they are both doing is the opposite of what should be done.
I’m not one to think those on the other side of the aisle are trying to tear this country down but I’m starting to wonder if I might be wrong. Any businessman knows to create jobs you must make it easier for businesses to make money. And before I go further, there is a difference in creating jobs and creating work. Throwing money into an economy on make work projects only creates work.
Back to Culver’s stimulus plan. Nowhere in there is a tax cut. This is ridiculous. As a state our tax policy for businesses is 2nd to last in the nation. I like Iowa but if I were to start a business anywhere in the Midwest, Iowa would be the last place to do it. Culver and Obama can’t seem to understand that businesses are started for one thing – to make money. When it is harder to do that in this state over any other state, we can’t expect to provide more jobs.
Also, if we provide our businesses with tax cuts they can grow their businesses. That’s another thing Culver and Obama can’t get figured out. Very few businesses want to stay the same size. Almost all want to grow – with our current tax code, growing is not much of an option. Sadly, one of the simplest descriptions of this is found here.
Presidents and governors have all the information they want at their fingertips. There is no reason to not look at South Dakota or other states with business friendly conditions. Look to those states for leadership. Don’t look to our federal government where absolutely nothing is working. That’s just plain stupid!

When I think of thriving economies, the first place that comes to mind is South Dakota. People are rushing to South Dakota in droves.
Way to go, Daily Constitutional. Keep up the “good” work.
Steve Right – or whatever your name is because that is not it. Why don’t you try to actually debate the topics brought up on here rather than toss out a bunch of useless sarcasm. It might also help to do a little research before you make yourself look like an ass. Years ago South Dakota figured out the only thing they have to offer is a business friendly climate. They consistently rank toward the top in that aspect. Sioux Falls is growing at an extremely fast pace. According to the census, it is growing 10 percent faster than Des Moines and 14 percent faster than Chicago. That is all because of their tax structure. It sure as heck isn’t the weather.
You want to have a discussion of the issues? Then quit hiding behind anonymity and speak using your own voice.
Ask me if it’s pointless to argue with a coward, especially one who rarely cares about facts.
That’s always your answer. When it comes down to articulating a position on an issue, you can’t do it and instead try to divert the reader’s attention rather than state your side’s position. You have yet to debate actual policy.
no.
And as I’ve said before, it’s difficult to argue the merits and minuses of policy with people who don’t give a rats ass about facts or reason. You believe what you want to believe regardless of the world around you or the circumstances that are taking place. So, try to divert the readers’ attention? No. Call you on your bullshit and refuse to be a member of your crazy-mindless-conspiracy theory touting echo chamber. Absolutely.
And you’re a coward, Daily Constitutional. An anonymous coward who shouldn’t be taken seriously by anyone ever.
ever.
EVER.
Steve,
All I see out of you is a constant stream of criticism, but when asked to provide constructive criticism you turn tail and run. Culver and Obama’s plans are insane. It promotes fiscal irresponsibility and is burdening future generations with a debt that they did not create.
Don’t feed the trolls folks….
They can’t have a rational discussion because 1. They have no facts to back up their arguments and 2. When facts are presented before them..they simply resort to hyperbole to deflect attention away from their uselessness.
So, until Steve actually presents some facts/reasons behind his “arguments” don’t pay any attention to this fool.
Nice try, Todd.
U FAIL.
