Kevin’s Korner: Super, Spectacular, Stupendous 200th Edition

200 celebration

Greetings and welcome to the 200th edition of the Sunday tradition like no other, Kevin’s Korner. Just when they think they’ve got the answers, I change the questions.

In honor of this momentous and historic occasion, here are a few 40 rhetorical questions on the Iowa Freedom Summit, recent political happenings and totally irrelevant things that I’m just curious about. Enjoy.

Is it unanimous that Scott Walker won the day?

Is there a better summation for the inadequate facility, Hoyt Sherman Place, for the Iowa Freedom Summit than this: Donald Trump, who knows a thing or two about buildings, strolls past the long line of gentlemen waiting to use the bathroom and sneers, “Nice men’s room”?

What’s that smell?

Do the clowns who tried to shout down Rick Perry and Chris Christie during their speeches realize they inadvertently helped them?

How awesome was Carly Fiorina’s smackdown of Hillary Clinton?

And why didn’t more candidates rip Queen Hillary?

Did you know Ben Carson won his third straw poll in Iowa recently, this time in deeply conservative O’Brien County?

How off kilter was Sarah Palin’s speech?

And, could it have possibly gone any longer?

Why did Admiral Stockdale get to speak so many times Saturday?

Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?

How many issues will Mitt Romney 3.0 flip-flop on?

Is attacking women and poor people the Iowa Democrats’ strategy for 2016?

What the hell is that smell?

How many speakers name-dropped Joni Ernst Saturday?

Were they all just seeking a Mick Foley-esque cheap pop?

Et tu, Brute?

How cool are Joni Ernst’s camouflage heels?

And where can I get me a pair?

Does anyone else miss Bruce Braley and his weekly stumbles?

Do you think Braley asked Harkin, “Can you get me off the hook, Tom, for old times’ sake?”

While boasting about winning twice, did Barack Obama forget that all of his policies were on the ballot, every single one of them, three months ago and he lost badly?

Are things ever as they really seem?

Can Big Debt Chet Culver please run for office again?

sweaty chet

Pretty please?

Do Senate Democrats really believe Iowans are dumb enough to believe that most Iowa school superintendents wouldn’t want more state taxpayer money for their districts?

Do Democrats have any solutions that don’t involve using more taxpayer money?

What business does the federal government have trying to bastardize popular Disney movies to brainwash kids with their climate change propaganda?

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag, lifting through the wind, wanting to start again?

Why can’t national GOP leaders get their act together?

deflated football

Who else is tired of hearing about Tom Brady’s deflated balls?

What about Brett Favruh?

Why will Obama make time to meet with a YouTube star who is famous for eating fruit loops in the bathtub, but won’t meet with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu?

Rob Lowe tweet Netanyahu

And if Rob Lowe gets how ridiculous this is, why doesn’t anyone in the Obama administration?

When shall we three meet again, in thunder, lightning, or in rain?

Why are so many people, mainly liberals, still stuck on stupid?

Why does Jon Snow still know nothing?

How will RPI Chairman Jeff Kaufmann react to his new nickname, coined by Craig Robinson?

If Kaufmann is Luigi, what does that make Cody Hoefert?

That’s it for this week. Thanks for dropping by. A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer.
