Schultz Launches TV Ad in 3rd District Race

This morning Matt Schultz announced that his campaign raised $170,000 in the first fundraising quarter and has $136,000 cash on hand. The campaign also announced that it would begin running a new TV ad. The ad is titled “Done It” and it highlights Schultz’ efforts as Iowa’s Secretary of State to save money and fight for conservative values. You can see the ad below.

(DES MOINES, IA) April 14, 2014—Today, Iowa’s Secretary of State and Republican candidate for Congress, Matt Schultz, announced that he raised $170,949 during the first quarter of 2014 and is launching his first TV ad of the campaign.

Over 950 supporters contributed to Schultz’s campaign for Iowa’s 3rd Congressional seat, showing that his proven conservative leadership and pledge to fight for spending restraint, term limits, and a full repeal of Obamacare is resonating with Iowans throughout the district.

The campaign ends the quarter with zero debt and over $136,000 in the bank going into the June 3rd primary.

Schultz also announced today the release of his first TV ad of the campaign titled “Done It”. In a crowded primary field, the ad highlights Schultz’s as the proven conservative candidate. Schultz has demonstrated this during both his time on the Council Bluffs City Council where he cut over $1,000,000 from the Mayor’s budget in his first year, and as Iowa’s Secretary of State.

The ad specifically touts Schultz fiscal conservative credentials as he spent $1,000,000 less than his predecessor as Iowa’s Secretary of State, while at the same time returning over $200,000 to Iowa taxpayers in unspent funds. Schultz plans to take this same fight to Washington DC as he pledges to “stop Obama and Pelosi from bankrupting America”.
