U.S. Senate candidate Joni Ernst’s new ad features her motorcycle, 9mm hand gun, and a leather jacket. Below is the press release issued by the Ernst campaign:

Today, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Joni Ernst released her second ad of the 2014 election, titled “Shot”.

The new ad highlights Joni’s credentials as a mom, farm girl, and Lt. Colonel as well as her focus on putting an end to wasteful spending in Washington and the need to repeal Bruce Braley’s Obamacare.

In announcing the release of the ad, Ernst stated, “I’m aiming to take our shared Iowa values to Washington, and once there I will target wasteful government spending, our $17.5 trillion debt, and Obamacare. In these final weeks leading up to the primary, I am campaigning to earn the confidence and support of Iowa Republicans from across our great state – I am asking them to give me a shot.“

“Shot” will begin airing on both broadcast and cable in key markets across Iowa, and can be viewed on the campaign website http://www.joniforiowa.com/landing/give-joni-shot/.

The full script of the ad:

VOICE OVER:
She’s not your typical candidate.
Conservative Joni Ernst.
Mom.
Farm girl.
And a Lieutenant Colonel who carries more than just lipstick in her purse.
Joni Ernst will take aim at wasteful spending.
And once she sets her sights on Obamacare…
Joni’s gonna unload.
And one more thing…
Joni doesn’t miss much.

JONI ERNST:
Give me a shot. I’m Joni Ernst and I approved this message.
