Clovis Endorsed by Citizens United and Eagle Forum

Sioux City—“Sam Clovis is the true conservative in this race who can win in November against Bruce ‘Mr. Obamacare’ Braley,” said David N. Bossie, President of Citizens United. “Those in the Washington establishment may not like Sam, but I can tell you he will never compromise his core conservative beliefs to appease those in Washington.”

Citizens United Political Victory Fund issued their endorsement of Sam Clovis early Thursday morning. Sam Clovis is running for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Senator Tom Harkin. Harkin has announced that he will retire at the end of this Congressional session.

“This endorsement means a lot to me,” said Clovis. “Citizens United has been on the forefront in the fight to put the government back into the hands of the people.” Clovis continued by saying that with the help of Citizens United and other liberty-minded organizations, he will work hard to reassert traditional American values into the Senate. “I look forward to having the support of Citizens United to limit government, encourage free enterprise, strengthen our families and ensure national sovereignty and security. I will fight for these values every day I am allowed to be in the Senate by the people of Iowa. I will never waver in my protection of the Constitution.”
