Congressman Paul Ryan to headline Iowa Governor Terry Branstad’s Birthday Bash

(URBANDALE, Iowa) – Gov. Terry E. Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds today announced Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI), the 2012 Republican Vice Presidential Nominee and Chairman of the House Budget Committee, will be the special guest to headline Gov. Branstad’s Birthday Bash fundraiser. The event will take place onNovember 16, 2013, at 5:30 p.m., at Adventureland Park’s Palace Theatre in Altoona, Iowa.

“Congressman Ryan has been a leader in Washington advocating for balancing our budget while fostering a healthier economy, expanding opportunities for America’s young people, paying down America’s nearly $17 trillion national debt, securing retirement for seniors and repairing the safety net for those in need,” said Branstad. “I’m pleased to welcome him back to Iowa to share his conservative, common sense approach to budgeting.”

Additionally, the Governor Branstad Committee announced Sharon and Kyle J. Krause will serve as chairs of the birthday bash.

“Sharon and I are honored to chair such a fun, family-friendly event for Governor Branstad and Lieutenant Governor Reynolds,” said Kyle J. Krause. “We are delighted to serve in this capacity for two outstanding Iowa leaders.”

Congressman Ryan is appearing only as a special guest and is not asking for funds or donations. All funds solicited in connection with this event are by the Governor Branstad Committee, and not by Congressman Ryan.
