Rick Santorum, the winner of the 2012 Iowa Caucuses, is announcing his support of John Archer, the Republican candidate for Congress in Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District.

“On behalf of Patriot Voices, I am proud to announce our endorsement of John Archer for Congress.  I had the pleasure of getting to know John and his wonderful family over the past year.  His business background working through the regulatory and legal hurdles facing manufacturing makes him uniquely qualified to come to Washington and stop the attacks on our economy.  John Archer represents the principles of faith, family, and freedom that our nation was founded upon, and upon which Patriot Voices was formed to protect.  We look forward to working to help elect John Archer as the next congressman for southeast Iowa,” Santorum said in a statement that will go out to the media this afternoon.

Santorum has now endorsed both Ben Lange and John Archer in advance of his return trip to Iowa in July.  Santorum in scheduled to be in Iowa on July 10th and 11th for various events around the state.  In addition to supporting candidates and causes, Santorum is also hosting two events to thank his supporters.  Those two events will be held in Iowa City and Windsor Heights.
