Romney Rocks Alfred E. Smith Memorial Dinner

A relaxed Mitt Romney delivered an incredibly funny speech on Thursday night at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Dinner in New York City.  The dinner is an annual white tie charity fundraiser for Catholic charities, held at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York on the third Thursday of October.

Presidential candidates have been attending the dinner since 1960.  Candidates have traditionally given humorous speeches poking fun at themselves and their opponents.  Romney offered up some A-list material for the audience such as, “I was hoping that President Obama would bring Joe Biden along, because he’ll laugh at anything.”
