Kevin’s Korner: Roberts’ Ridiculous Rules, Classless Dems, and Bruce’s Excuses

Greetings and welcome to Kevin’s Korner. One cannot be betrayed, if one has no people.

Some conservatives are busy making excuses or trying to find some hidden brilliance behind Chief Justice John Roberts’ decision to rule in favor of ObamaCare. They should stop. He not only upheld the government takeover of healthcare. He also granted a power to Congress they didn’t know they had. It’s an inexcusable and baffling decision …

If you’re still unclear about the ramifications of this dreadful law, ObamaCare ObamaTax includes 21 tax increases, costing more than $675 billion over the next 10 years12 tax hikes affect families earning less than $250,000 per year … This is devastating for the middle class. There is nothing affordable about the “Affordable Care Act” …

Remember when George W. Bush wanted to appoint Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court and there was an enormous conservative backlash? They wisely changed course and went with Samuel Alito. Two months earlier, the appointment of John Roberts was universally praised by conservatives … Am I the only one who now thinks, in light of last week’s decisions on immigration and ObamaTax, Miers would have been better than Roberts? … For that matter, Jake “The Snake” Roberts might be better than John Roberts … I feel like John DDT’d all of us on Thursday …

To those of you still holding out on supporting Mitt Romney, saying there is no difference between Barack and Mitt, you now have your difference. Romney doubled-down on his pledge to repeal ObamaTax. We know Obama will try everything to implement it …

If you want any chance of stopping this socialist agenda, you really have only one choice. ObamaTax must be destroyed. It must be taken deep into Mordor Kenya and cast back into the fiery chasm from whence it came …

And no, Gary Johnson is not a viable choice. Unless you’re jonesin … Help us Willard Mittens Romney, you’re our only hope … And yes, I know all about RomneyCare. That was then, this is now

Republicans were told not to “spike the football” after the Supreme Court decision if it went their way. Clearly, no such warning went out to the Democrats, who not only spiked the football, they did Ochocinco Terrell Owens-style celebrations and showed their true colors with these profanity laced gems, edited for appropriate viewing. Child please:

“Let’s win the damn election.” – Jim Messina, Obama’s campaign manager

“The politics be damned. This is about what we came to do.” – Nancy Pelosi

“it’s constitutional. Bitches.” – DNC official Patrick Gaspard on Twitter:

And topping them all is Erin Seidler, Obama’s Iowa communications director, who thought this was appropriate to retweet: “RT @mountain_goats: I pay my f_____g taxes and I deserve to read Senator Grassley’s tweets. ‪#freechuck”

You stay classy, San Democrata … Keep in mind, these same Democrats went crying to the media and demanded a reprimand when Dick Cheney told Pat Leahy to go f himself. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Does Chuck Grassley carry a grudge for a long time? Let’s hope not. The good senator was less than pleased with some of the Iowa Republicans who assisted Annette Sweeney in the HD 50 primary against Grassley’s grandson, PatIowa Senate and House candidates could use Senator Grassley’s help this fall. I hope he forgives and forgets …

Grassley, who has remained vigilant on the Fast and Furious investigation, fully supports the House’s contempt citation for Attorney General Eric Holder 17 Democrats who are worried about losing their seats this November voted in favor of holding Holder in contempt. … Many others walked out, chanting “Shame on you” … No, scumbags, it is you who should be ashamed for showing no regard for the family of murdered border agent Brian Terry

In a surprise to no one, the Dems’ Golden Child, and Nancy Pelosi’s pet project, Bruce Braley voted against citation … Bruce’s excuses could come back to haunt him. Braley said, “Unlike most of the people talking about this issue, I’ve actually had the opportunity to view the wiretap applications which are under seal, I’ve had an opportunity to look through the investigation.” …

Oops. Looks like Bruce blabbed a little too soon … Rep. Darrell Issa quietly placed details about those wiretap applications into the Congressional record Thursday. They apparently point to more lies and obstruction by Eric Holder, despite Bruce’s excuses

Grassley and Issa also released details about the retaliation against the Fast and Furious whistleblowers and the cover-ups by the ATF. Hmmm… Did Bruce Braley have inside info on these as well? … The House has requested 130,000 documents related to Fast and Furious. How many has Holder turned over? 7,000 … Now they’re hiding behind Obama’sexecutive privilege”, Nancy Pelosi’s skirt and Bruce’s excuses

Message to the Romney/Victory/Latham campaign staffers: This is Iowa. If you build it, they will come … I’m talking about your volunteers. If you want their help, you need to build relationships with them. When they work hard for you, the least you can do is a simple “Thank you”.

Finally, I hope you and yours have a great Fourth of July and are able to celebrate our independence day, and the birthday of the greatest country on earth. Yes, I still believe that, despite recent developments …

That’s it for this week. Thanks for dropping by. A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself.
