Is Obama Hopeless?

Both Mitt Romney and President Obama campaigned in Iowa on Wednesday.  The Romney campaign sent around a screen shot of the front page of the Des Moines Register this morning to members of the media.  It shows the two candidates side by side.  Under President Obama’s picture it reads, “Obama Sharpens Criticism.”  Under Romney’s photo it reads, “Romney Expresses Optimism.”

Romney is closing strong and seems to have a lot of momentum in Iowa.  President Obama’s only response is to continue to attack Romney.  Obama’s 2008 campaign of hope is nowhere to be seen.  In fact, the best word to describe his 2012 campaign may be hopeless.
