Iowa GOP’s New State Central Committee

The Republican Party of Iowa’s State Central Committee features a totally different makeup following district elections on Saturday. Only four sitting members were reelected. That means 12 of those chosen by district convention delegates will be new to the SCC. Chelle Adkins, Trudy Caviness, James Mills, John Ortega, and Craig Williams failed in their bids for reelection. David Fischer, Drew Ivers, Emily Lofgren, and Monte Shaw did not seek an additional term..

Here is a look at the RPI’s new State Central Committee:


1st District:

David Chung – Linn County

Dave Cushman – Dubuque County

Tony Krebsbach – Mitchell County

Loras Schulte – Benton County

2nd District:

Bob Anderson – Johnson County

Mark Doland – Mahaska County

Marcus Fedler – Washington County

Jeff Shipley – Jefferson County

3rd District:

Wes Enos – Polk County

John Kabitzke – Warren County

Gopal Krishna – Polk County

Joel Kurtinitis – Polk County

4th District

Jamie Johnson – Webster County

Tim Moran – Woodbury County

Chad Steenhoek of Story County

Kris Thiessen – Clay County
