Pearson

The state of Iowa has lost one of the ag community’s greatest ambassadors.  Mark Pearson, the host of WHO Radio’s “The Big Show,” died on Sunday at the age of 54.

Pearson, a former Assistant Secretary of Agriculture for the State of Iowa, farmer, small businessman, and stockbroker, may be best known as the voice of WHO’s noon-hour agriculture program “The Big Show.”   Pearson also served as the host of “Market to Market,” a weekly news magazine show produced by Iowa Public Television.

Dave Price, a reporter from WHO TV 13, is reporting that Pearson died of heart attack, according to WHO Radio General Manager Joel McCrea.
