Governor Terry Branstad took on President Obama’s intense negativity this morning. He explains that with no record to run on, President Obama now “spends all his time attacking other people.” Iowans feel “betrayed” by the president they elected four years ago.

Governor Branstad goes on to contrast Iowa’s economy with the high-tax, high-regulation, high-debt, high-unemployment policies of President Obama and Democratic governors.

When Iowans elected President Obama, they expected that he would rebuild our economy, cut our deficit in half, and stop the divisive politics of the past. He did none of these things. President Obama didn’t change politics. Politics changed him.
