Santorum Slams AG Holder on Campaign Trail In Iowa

By Craig Robinson

During a speech to the Story County GOP, Rick Santorum ripped Attorney General Eric Holder for suggesting that the American court system is the greatest tool Americans have against terrorism.

In defending the Obama Administrations use of criminal courts to try terrorism subjects, Attorney General Holder said, “There is, quite simply, no more powerful tool than our civilian court system.”

Santorum made it clear that he thinks Holder is nuts.  Santorum told the crowd of 70, “Maybe he’s eating mushrooms.  I don’t know what he’s doing.  He’s not dealing with reality.  You can’t even make this up.  That you can believe this.  That it’s not our intelligence capabilities, its not out military.  It’s giving terrorist your constitutional rights.  Giving them the ACLU to protect them. Giving them the full [array] of benefits under the constitution is the greatest strength that we have against terrorism.  This is truly frightening.  That we have leaders in this county who believe that.”
