Kitty Rehberg Joins The Fight With Santorum

Urbandale, IA – Rick Santorum announced today that his campaign has received the endorsement of well-known Iowa conservative leader Kitty Rehberg.

Kitty Rehberg said: “I am excited to endorse Rick Santorum for President. Rick has stood tall for the conservative, heartland values I have fought so long to defend. He stands out as the one candidate best prepared and ready to lead our nation on day-one. I am eager to work with his surging campaign in the coming days to help him on to victory in the Iowa caucuses.”

Rick Santorum said: “I am honored to receive Kitty’s endorsement today. Kitty is a legend in northeast Iowa for her leadership and steadfast defense of conservatism. I am thrilled to work with Kitty as we build upon our momentum in Iowa as Caucus Day draws nearer. In these final days, her support will be a huge boost to our grassroots campaign not just in northeast Iowa, but throughout the state.”

Kitty Rehberg is with the Eagle Forum of Iowa, a former state senator and a staple of Iowa politics. While in the Senate, Rehberg chaired the Economic Growth Committee and the Education Appropriations Subcommittee. She is also a member of the Iowan Corn Growers, Pork Producers, and Soybean Associations, National Pork Producers’ Capitol Connection, and the Vice-Chair of Buchanan County Taxpayers Association.
