King’s Conservative Principles Conference Panels Tackle Tough Issues

Congressman Steve King’s daylong Conservative Principles Conference features potential Republican Presidential candidates Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, Governor Haley Barbour, Herman Cain, former Speaker Newt Gingrich, and former Senator Rick Santorum as well as Ambassador John R. Bolton and banquet keynote speaker Senator Jim DeMint.

In addition to addresses by these potential candidates and national leaders of the conservative movement, there will also be panel discussions. Topics include: Transforming America, Family Values, ObamaCare Repeal, and Media.

Participants in the Transforming America panel are Marilyn Rickert of FairTax.org, Mike George of Strong America Now, Greg Mourad of Right to Work, and David Bossie of Citizens United. The Family Values panel participants are Family Research Council Action President Connie Mackey, Brian Brown with the National Organization for Marriage, and Emmett McGroarty of American Principles Project.

Guests on the ObamaCare Repeal panel are Betsy McCaughey, PhD, and Jenny Beth Martin of Tea Party Patriots. The Media Panel features Jan Mickelson of WHO Radio, Tony Katz of PJTV, and Craig Robinson of TheIowaRepublican.com.

Conservative Principles Conference will be held at the Downtown Des Moines Marriott, 700 Grand Avenue. The Conference will begin with registration at 8:00 am and the program at 9:00 am. An evening reception and banquet will start at approximately 5:00 pm.
