Bachmann: “I will send a signal to our country’s job creators and to the world that the days of socialist policies are over, that our free market is once again open for business and that we will once again lead the world as the true exceptional nation.“
Urbandale, Iowa – Fresh off her 99 county barnstorming Iowa bus tour, Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann made her case to voters as to why she is the only constitutional and fiscal conservative in the race that has the experience and the drive to defeat Barack Obama in 2012 and turn our economy around.
Outlining an ambitious plan for her first 100 days in the White House in an op-ed in the Washington Times, Bachmann stressed that restoring the American economy starts with bolstering job creators and eliminating President Obama’s socialist policies. She commented, “I will have an ambitious agenda in the first 100 days that will send a signal to our country’s job creators and to the world that the days of socialist policies are over, that our free market is once again open for business and that we will once again lead the world as the true exceptional nation.”
Her first agenda item in office would be to repeal Obamare and Dodd-Frank. “No two pieces of legislation represent socialism and big government more than those, and both have greatly hindered the creation of jobs and capital necessary for economic recovery,” said Bachmann.
In an interview with USA Today, Bachmann distinguished her record from her opponents, touting she is the only candidate in the GOP race that doesn’t have any “policy skeletons” in her closet that she needs to spin to the media. She added her strength and convictions are what voters can count on when she heads to the White House.
“I am the strongest core conservative in this race…and I’ll be able to stand up to Obama and dismantle his radical agenda,” Bachmann said.
