Attempt to Pass The Life At Conception Bill Fails in Republican House

Rep. Kim Pearson made a motion last night to suspend the rules in the Iowa House to allow a vote on a bill that would outlaw all abortions in Iowa. The measure failed by a vote of 72 to 25. The failed attempt is likely to elevate the spat within the pro-life community over proposed legislation that would either limit or ban abortions.
