Zaun Raises $50,305 in 1st Quarter

Zaun(Urbandale, IA) Today, the Zaun for Congress campaign announced it has raised $50,305 during the 1st Quarter of 2010. The campaign will file with the Federal Election Commission later today. The campaign will also report cash-on-hand of $29,471.00.

“Despite being at the State Capitol serving my constituents during the entire quarter, we’re pleased with our fundraising numbers. While some candidates raise the bulk of their money on the front end of the campaign, we’ll raise ours on the backend,” said Zaun.

“Our internal polling completed at the end of March shows us with a 18.5% lead over my closest rival. I’ll take that lead, coupled with a lifetime of living in the district and the grassroots organization we’re building against any of my opponents,” added Zaun.

Here are the results from the polling conducted March 22-23. The survey included 400 likely Republican primary voters. The survey has a margin of error of +/- 4.9%.

If the Republican Primary were held today?
Brad Zaun – 26%
Jim Gibbons – 7.5%
Dave Funk – 4%
Pat Betroche – 1.5%
Mark Rees – 1%
Jason Welch – 0.25%
