(Urbandale, IA) Today, the Zaun for Congress campaign announced it has raised $119,663 during the 2nd Quarter of 2010. The campaign will file with the Federal Election Commission later today. The campaign will also report cash-on-hand of $100,400.42.

“Everyone has come together to achieve one common goal: replacing Congressman Leonard Boswell. I’m humbled by the support we’ve received since the primary. We’ll have the resources we’ll need to show voters the clear choice between Congressman Boswell and myself,” said Zaun.

While Congressman Boswell has more money in the bank, Zaun added, “no amount of money spent by Congressman Boswell can change the fact that he has consistently voted for unsustainable spending, supported cap and trade, and was in lock step with Nancy Pelosi in support of Obamacare.”

Of the total dollars raised for this quarter, 89% of Zaun’s contributions came from individual donors, while Boswell’s report showed only 42% coming from individual donors.

“Brad’s strong fundraising success from people who can actually cast a ballot this November, supports our internal polling numbers, which show Brad with a lead over Congressman Boswell,” said T.J. Maloney, Zaun campaign manager.

“In addition, former President Clinton’s upcoming appearance for Congressman Boswell signals that national democrats have sounded the alarm and launched the life boats to try and save Congressman Boswell’s floundering re-election,” concluded Maloney.
