Newt Gingrich Endorses Ben Lange as the ‘Solutions Candidate’

Former Speaker Newt Gingrich today endorsed Ben Lange in Iowa’s 1st congressional district as the ‘Solutions Candidate.’ Ben Lange is running against the liberal Democrat incumbent Bruce Braley.

“Ben Lange has demonstrated a keen understanding of not only the grave economic challenges facing this nation, but also the first principles that are key to creating jobs in Iowa, growing the economy, reducing the tax burden on middle class families and small businesses, and ultimately protecting future generations from unsustainable debt obligations,” Gingrich said. “For this reason, I believe he is the type of candidate that voters across the political spectrum desperately need during these tough economic times. Ben Lange will make a fine congressman.”

“As a small town Iowan and first-time political candidate, I am humbled by the outpouring of support from distinguished Americans like Speaker Gingrich,” Lange remarked. “I believe Eastern Iowans are hungry for political leaders who are willing to put principle before political party, and that is what I intend to do.”
