Attend your local GOP precinct caucus this Saturday:
Below is a condensed version from RPI Chairman Matt Strawn’s letter informing Iowans about Saturday’s Caucus and below that is an additional youtube by Bob Vander Plaats encouraging caucus participation and support (not included in RPI letter…)
This Saturday at 1 p.m., I will be joining other Republicans in my neighborhood to participate in our precinct caucus. While Erin and I will be at the Parkview Middle School in Ankeny, I hope you will be doing the same in your community. The precinct caucuses are your opportunity to speak up about the issues important to you and your family. The ideas you share on Saturday will help shape the Republican Party platform, which is a statement of our values and beliefs for the 2010 elections.
Our system of government isn’t easy. It requires our participation. It means Iowans have to stand up for what they believe in, and participation at the precinct caucus level is an incredible opportunity for Iowa citizens to directly engage on the issues of the day. So come to a caucus and let fellow Republicans know what matters most to you. Better yet, bring along a friend and neighbor or two and join the fight to return principled government back to the people of Iowa.
Find your precinct caucus location at the NEW IowaGOP.org
It’s easy to find your caucus location by going to the new www.iowagop.org. When you go to the website, click on “caucuses” at the top and then “find your location.”
While at the new IowaGOP.org, please take some time to look at all the features, including a candidate section dedicated to Republicans running for office in 2010. Also check out “IowaGOP Live” for real-time social media updates, tweets, Facebook posts, YouTube videos and more! You can even sign up to receive personalized updates.
The new IowaGOP.org represents the innovative and forward-looking approach that Republicans have for leading Iowa. While impressive, the new site is nothing compared to the new and improved state that Iowans will see in November when Republicans regain Terrace Hill and a legislative majority. – Matt Strawn
