Ben Lange Meets NRCC Fundraising Goal

The most difficult fundraising period for any candidate who just won a contested primary is the July quarterly period, which is only from the period between May 20th and June 30th.   The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has challenged each Republican challenger in Iowa to raise $100,000 for the period.

According to FEC reports, First District Congressional candidate Ben Lange, has met his goal.  Lange raised $108, 587.16 and has over $110,00 cash on hand.  While Lange still has a long way to go to be competitive with Congressman Bruce Braley, the $100,000 he raised in abbreviated period is more than he raised for his entire campaign thus far.

It should also be noted that Lange’s raised almost three time the amount that Dr. David Hartsuch raised in his entire campaign against Braley. In the pre-primary report, Congressman Bruce Braley had $625,000 cash on hand.
