Apology to Kathie Obradovich Over Loebsack Counter Comment

Months ago I reamed the Register’s Kathie Obradovich for writing that Loebsacks’s congressional seat was “safe.”  After discussing this with her yesterday at a political event the topic came full circle of understanding.  She said she recently reported a positive story on the Miller Meeks campaign.  Furthermore she said she was merely stating that the dems said Loesack was safe and that she did not personally say he was safe.

I don’t remember it that way, but I believe her when she explained to me yesterday.  I  do have a tendency to be protective and sarcastic when battling the truths I think I know and perhaps this time I was too harsh and more importantly not entirely accurate.

So Kathie I am sorry for misunderstanding your writing and countering it with a devisive tone.  When I am wrong I am willing to apologize and set things straight.  I have even had to do that with Craig Robinson once, so hang in there with me as we have a big journey ahead with the presidential race coming up.

Of course there will be misunderstandings in this journey, which is why I am lending my recent storytelling to more pictures and more video and when I write my opinion I say its my opinion.  Bloggers and the like will continue to keep you, Kathie and Register accountable.  Both the blogger, and the Register bear a tremendous responsibility to the reader.  Often times readers actualy beleive what we write.

Remember the media is the conduit everyone loves to hate.  Happy Election Day!

(and yes photo of Kathie is by me, Dave Davidson- I shoot her everytime I see her.  Someone has to paparazzi the press back! )
