NEAlogoTAGLINEcolorWhen something happens once, maybe it was a mistake. When it happens repeatedly, you start to think there is a deliberate pattern to things.

For example, maybe when President Obama put out lesson plans accompanying his speech to school children that asked the school children to write about how they would “help” the president, maybe some moron underling in the Obama administration didn’t realize how inappropriate that would be to appear to be indoctrinating the children of America.

But then we hear about how the Obama administration, on a conference call with artists who benefit from federal tax dollars through the National Endowment for the Arts, the artists were told they should “create art to further the president’s goals by promoting the United We Serve campaign and create art specific to areas of health care, education and the environment.”

On that same call, another Obama administration official thanked all of the artists on the line for all of their help over the “last two years” for all of their work on the “campaign.”

And now they are supposed to use the federal tax dollars they receive to further the political agenda of the president?

This is no accident folks. Obama wanted school children to get used to the idea of helping him. He wanted to use federal tax dollars support artists’ efforts to advance his political agenda. And I’m sure this pattern won’t stop here.

The only question now is, how will Obama abuse his power and authority next?

Emily Geiger writes from a conservative perspective on everything from politics to religion to pop culture. Like the original Emily of Revolutionary War era, this Emily is delivering important messages crucial to winning the raging war of the time, but today, this is a culture war rather than a traditional one. And, like the original Emily, sometimes it takes a woman to do (or say) that which lesser men lack the courage and tenacity to do.
