I mentioned South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford the other day in my article about how CPAC marks the beginning of the positioning phase for the 2012 elections. Sanford was one of the candidates that I was most interested to hear speak last week and he hasn’t been a frequent visitor to Iowa.
Jed Babbin, of Human Events has a more detailed look at Sanford. He recounts Sanford’s speech at CPAC, and a conversation he had with Ollie North, who gives the South Carolina Governor an “A” rating. Babbin also interviews Sanford where they talk about the Obama stimulus plan, and specifically about the Clyburn provision which allows state legislatures to overturn a governor’s decision to reject the stimulus funds.
