Obama’s Pep Rally Is All About Him, Not the Children

media whoreMany folks are up in arms about President Obama’s address to the student today as many begin their first day of school. I can’t say that I blame them. This country hasn’t ever seen a media whore like Obama is since… well Bill Clinton was president. Clinton was a different type of media whore, it was his whoring is what created most of the media attention he received.

Anyway, President Obama was beamed into class rooms across the nation today so that he can tell students to do their best and know that getting an education is very important. Now I know a lot of people were worked up over Obama’s speech to the school children, but I’m actually pissed because he’s not saying a damn thing, he’s really just taking time away from our teachers and educators.

Seriously, what good does President Obama really think he’s going to do? Does he really think that kids will listen to his little five minute speech and be moved to be a better student? Look, I know there are plenty of boys and girls out there who would love to grow up and become the President of the United States one day, but I have to believe most kids would get more out of listening to Hulk Hogan tell them to “train, say your prayers, take your vitamins, be true to yourself, your county, and be a real American.”

Heck, Hulk Hogan’s message is more pro-American than Obama’s was.

Brother, what has this former Hulk-a-maniac upset is the fact that this is just another ploy by Obama to get his mug seen by more and more people. That’s all it is about. I don’t know why our newly elected president is so hell bent on being seen by everyone all the time. He’s just out of control.

There is nothing in his speech that our school teachers can’t or shouldn’t be driving into their students heads on a daily basis. Well, I bet some would be upset if the teachers ended their lesson with God Bless, and God Bless American, but you get my point.

The sad part of Obama’s speech is that he tells these kids to dream big and be creative, but the America in which they are growing up in under Obama doesn’t reward hard work and creativity. What good will it does these kids to create the next Google or Twitter, when their start up businesses will be crushed under the weight of government regulations and taxes.

If President Obama really wants to encourage kids he would make a pledge to remove all of the boundaries and obstacles that government has put before them. Instead, Obama is giving the classic life is a sweater, wear it speech. Yawn.

Today’s speech isn’t about future generations of Americans; it’s about Obama being seen by more and more people. He’s just trying to increase his brand recognition. How sad.
