Help the U of I Children’s Hospital!

Remember back in the old days on the old site when we rallied support for an online vote to help Aplington-Parkersberg win $25,000 for their schools (which at that time, had been recently demolished by an F-5 tornado)?

Well, there is a new online vote I saw on the local news last night. This one is to help the University of Iowa’s Children’s Hospital win an X-Box 360 Game Room.

Assuming they don’t boot the kids out to let the football team come in and play, I’m all for this.

Just go to this website to vote. You do have to set up a user account to try to keep you honest, but you get to vote 10 times per day (once you find the hospital, you can just keep clicking on the “Vote for this Hospital” button.

Vote early, vote often. In other words, pretend you work for ACORN.

Jon Gosselin’s Stupidity and Hypocrisy On Display

Okay, I just can’t help myself. I should probably say something about what a complete moron Chet Culver is and why this budget mess is his fault, but I have a feeling other writers on this site are going to be all over that like flies on poop.

So, I’m just going to post some videos that made laugh my butt off. I should preface this by saying I don’t think I’ve ever seen Nancy Grace before, and I used to actually feel bad for Jon Gosselin until he started dating 22-year-olds and hosting bikini parties in Vegas instead of spending time with his kids or working on his marriage.

Now I pretty much just think he’s a creep who’s getting all the negative press he deserves.

This is classic.
