buttercowI have mixed feelings about the state fair. On one hand it’s an event that all Iowa should attend at least once in their lifetime. I’m always surprised by those who have never gone. I also can understand why some people don’t like it.

There are the people with enormous strollers who give you the evil eye you don’t get out of their way. Then there are all those people in motorized scooters who creep along at a slow pace. Talk about the great Iowa treasure hunt!

The weirdest thing I saw was the huge scale at the Secretary of Ag display. Seriously, after eating all that fair food the last thing I want to do is weigh myself. Yikes. That said, I’ll give someone 100 bucks if you can get Culver on that thing. Maybe it’s not that bad of an idea after all.

So what do you think about the fair? What do you like to do?
