efj1Ed Failor, Jr., President of Iowans for Tax Relief, issues the following statement to The Iowa Republican following tonight’s public hearing where Speaker of the House Patrick Murphy ordered State Troopers to remove citizens who had gathered for the forum on federal deductibility.

Failor told the Iowa Republican, “Tonight Iowa House Speaker Pat Murphy displayed his complete and total disrespect for Iowa taxpayers. He had more than 600 Iowans removed from the very House Chamber that exists only because of the taxes they pay.

The misbehavior that earned their ultimate ejection was polite applause for speakers who oppose eliminating federal deductibility.

The employee threw out the employers tonight. Speaker Murphy’s behavior is historic in its disregard for the very people who provide his paycheck.”

Failor himself was kicked out of the House chamber after an altercation with Speaker Murphy.
