On the day that former Governor Terry Branstad retired from Des Moines University so that he could explore the possibility of running for governor. Governor Chet Culver released a new campaign ad about the Iowa budget.
I find it interesting that Governor Culver is running campaign ads in regards to the budget. When bad news breaks about the budget, or scandal erupts at the Department of Economic Development, the Governor is nowhere to be found. In fact, reporters had to drive from Des Moines to Cedar Rapids and ask him questions about the Iowa Film Tax Credit scandal.
I’m glad you “chose” to rebuild our state after the floods. Did you really have to think that one over?
Running a campaign ad doesn’t show leadership Governor. Real leaders are accountable and assessable to the people they represent in good times and bad.
